□　企業活動のバリュー･チェーン（価値連鎖）とは

　企業活動が生み出す価値というものをどのように捉えればよいでしょうか。バリュー･チェーン（価値連鎖）とは、米国の経営戦略の権威であるマイケル・Ｅ・ポーター氏が提唱した概念です。企業における開発、調達、生産、販売、サービス業務などの各々の活動が、サプライヤーを含めた企業内外でどのような連携関係を持たせて付加価値を生み出すかを検討する考え方を指します。マイケル・Ｅ・ポーター氏が提示するバリュー･チェーンのモデルでは、価値連鎖は、購買物流、製造、出荷物流、販売・マーケティング、サービスという５つの主活動および、調達活動、技術開発、人事・労務管理、全般管理（インフラストラクチャー）の4つの支援活動からなっています。
ここでは、プロセス思考の発想が要求されます。製品を生み出す企業活動では、各々のプロセス、例えば、開発というプロセスや調達、生産というプロセスが有機的にチェーン（鎖）のようにつながっています。ここでは、人、組織、情報、モノ、金などが介在する価値の連鎖のデザインが不十分なものであると、経営効率は悪化し、プロセスのコストは増加し、スピードは低下します。企業が付加価値を高めるオペレーションを実践していくためには、付加価値を生み出すための個々のプロセスが企業の最終の成果にどのようなレベルで貢献しているのかを評価する必要があります。

現状打破を図るため、企業活動における価値連鎖の強み・弱みを見極め、弱いところは強化することで、競合に負けない企業体質の形成を図ることができます。企業活動では、企業収益の向上と売上の拡大のために関連部門が密接に関連しながら、人、モノ、金、情報の有効活用による経営資源の最適化を図ります。企業活動の価値連鎖における情報の共有化、及び一元管理を図っていくことが、スピード経営には不可欠になっています。
バリュー・チェーンの見直しや再構築では、従来の発想を捨て去り、ゼロベース思考で、顧客を起点とした最適なバリュー・チェーンをデザインすることがポイントです。

受注型の製造業を例にこのバリュー・チェーンのデザインのアプローチを考えてみましょう。顧客ニーズをもとに、設計・開発部門で製品図面が起こされます。製品図面をサプライヤーに提示し、要求品質・コスト・納期を満足する最適な調達先が決定されます。いっぽう、生産管理部門では、生産計画が明確にされ、調達部門、製造部門に伝達されます。これにより、部品が製造部門のラインサイドに納入され、ラインに投入されて製品が生産されていきます。十分な品質チェック、検査が行われ、営業部門を通じて、製品が市場に投入されていきます。ここで、受注生産型のケースでは、顧客ニーズに対応した仕様が付加され、受注から納品までのリードタイムの短縮化を目指した最適な企業活動の仕組みが追求されます。

□　TOC理論
TOC理論は、イスラエルのエリヤフ．ゴールドラット博士が提唱したものです。その著書である「ザ･ゴール」のベストセラー小説で有名です。TOC理論は、製造現場の改善・改革では、インパクトの非常に大きいプロセス分析手法です。TOC理論では、ネックとなるビジネスプロセスを発見し、改善することによって全体最適のビジネス改革を図っていくことが可能になります。
サプライチェーン（供給連鎖）を構成するファクターは、ある一連のビジネスの流れや製品という付加価値、あるいはそれに関わるプロセス（開発、製造、販売、物流、サービスなど）からなります。組織面からサプライチェーンを見ると、サプライチェーンは、付加価値を生み出すためにあるプロセスに参画している企業、ミクロ的に見た場合は、部門あるいは製造工程となります。TOC理論は、このサプライチェーンの改革を行なうことを狙った分析手法です。

TOC理論のアプローチでは、まず、サプライチェーンにおいてプロセス・チェーン間の同期化を阻害し、サプライチェーン全体の供給スピードや効率を下げてしまうようなボトルネックを発見します。次に、一旦、全てのプロセス・チェーンをネックのレベルに同期化させ、ボトルネック（急所）を改善します。これらのステップを繰り返し、プロセス・チェーン全体の最適化とスピード向上を図っていくことができます。組織の能力やパフォーマンスは、このボトルネックによって制約を受けます。

例えば、開発部門や調達部門のプロセスではデジタル化、ネットワーク化が進み、業務効率が上がっていながらも、生産部門では人手作業のままで、自動化が遅れ、老朽化した設備で生産を行なっている企業のケースを考えてみましょう。この企業のボトルネックは、生産部門のプロセスにあるということになります。すなわち、ボトルネックを有する生産部門のプロセスは、弱いチェーン（鎖）で、前後のプロセスと結合している状況といえるわけです。このように、ボトルネックの発見と改善は、ちょうど、静まりかえった池に石を投げると、発生した丸い輪が池全体に波及していくようなものなのです｡ボトルネックの改善は、全体最適を目指した企業活動への変革には極めてインパクトの大きいアプローチといえるでしょう。

□The value chain of the business activity
How will it should take so-called value which the business activity invents?
The value chain is the concept which Michael Eleanor Porter who is the authority of the management strategy in the U.S. proposed.
It means the way of thinking which reviews what cooperation connection each activity of the development, the procurement, the production, the sale, the service business in the company and so on makes form out of the in-house which included a supplier and whether it invents an additional value.
